Midweek: Christmas baskets flimsy! from With Strings Attached



Zinnias for Zion is an annual initiative in the community that encourages people to plant zinnias.  They represent beauty in diversity (and hardiness, considering the drought we've had this summer).   This photo was taken at the entrance to the library yesterday.  







 
In the studio:  the Christmas baskets quilt is a flimsy!  I had just enough of the green/red plaid print for the border.  (It's the same print I used for  last year's AAUW Christmas quilt.  There are only scraps left now.) 

69 x 69. 6 yards by weight.

Christmas Quilt from Wedding Dress Blue

Inspired by a pattern called Sweet Dreams from McCall’s Quilting 2001, I started and finished this top in the past two weeks.

A good activity while I should be sleeping, and am not. For some reason I have been waking up about 4am nearly every day. I am not tired, and cannot lay there and feel crazy.

So I have been cutting and sewing. Fun times with the scraps.

It is about 68″ x 72″. Nice size throw.

Virtual Quilts: Viewing, Studying and Enjoying Them in New Ways from Repro Quilt Lover

If you belong to a quilt guild, visit quilt exhibits, participate in workshops, take classes, or study quilt history, you have likely had an event canceled or postponed.
